Rules

The rules are simple:

• Choose a result for each match of a matchday
• Choices are Win or Draw - no score betting or Win/Draw bets. It's like playing the football pools
• If you want to put an optional accumulator bet on all the matches, then feel free to share the odds of your bet

That's it! If only 8 games are played due to rearrangments then it's an 8 game accumulator, but normally a round of matches will be 10 games. I'll do this for every weekend batch and the midweek round - if fewer than 10 games are played, your score will be a pro-rata score.


So, as an example, for a weekend of PL football, it would look like this:


Stoke vs Wigan - STOKE

West Ham vs Sunderland - DRAW

Newcastle vs West Brom - NEWCASTLE

Aston Villa vs Liverpool - VILLA

Everton vs Chelsea - DRAW

Tottenham vs Birmingham - TOTTENHAM

Fulham vs Arsenal - ARSENAL

Bolton vs Man City - CITY

Wolves vs Blackburn - WOLVES

Man Utd vs Blackpool - UTD

Normally, the odds are around 3000/1 and normally I get nowhere near fulfilling the bet. I know a lot of people also play this game regularly, so hopefully through the comments section, we can have a bit of competition and a laugh at some of the more outlandish predictions.

There'll also be a little bit of basic stats and a comparison against pundits & predictive websites.

A leaderboard will also be produced to show a season average score. To qualify for the leaderboard, you must play >2/3 of available weeks - i.e 7 out of 10, or 26 out of the entire season. Whoever tops the leaderboard at the end of the season, gets their name engraved on the REAL LIFE trophy - only human players get the trophy on loan for a year though!
